Before we utter a word, our clothes speak to the world and give a glimpse into a part of who we are. People, of course, are more than the clothes and shoes they wear. But clothes do make a first impression.
As a Fashion Design student, you’re in a unique position. You bring out people’s style preferences and personalities through fashion. The colors, patterns, and fabric textures you choose are crucial in your design of clothes, accessories, and footwear.
In addition to having a passion for fashion, you must be organized. Fashion Design requires multitasking. You must ensure a design goes from the initial sketch to final garment in a timely manner. As a Fashion Design major, you’ll tap into your creativity and organizational skills to develop designs that are one-of-a-kind or in step with fashion trends.
